If you require a set of dentures due to missing teeth or just require a new set, Selby Dental Care can create quality bespoke dentures. Developed in our in-house laboratory, we will design and construct your dentures here at our practice. Mr Guscott is our highly trained and experienced clinician who gained his qualifications at the Royal collage of surgeons (England). Out of a group of 30 people that recently completed the renowned 'Clinical Dental Technician' Diploma at the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (England), Mr Guscott was the number 1 in the country.
Often denture wearers are unhappy with the appearance and fit of their dentures and require a more natural look and feel, Mr Guscott can help create a set of made to measure dentures that you will be happy with. We will provide you with a complete service that involves consultation, fitting and any aftercare appointments that you may require. Contact us today to discuss your requirements and book a consultation.
After the initial consultation and treatment plan, we will take a mould from your upper and lower jaw, these will then be used to create a perfect fit for your dentures. We will then work with you to get the shape, size and colour of your teeth just how you want them. All teeth will be made from the best hard wearing and stain resistant material, with them having a look that is completely natural. We can secure your denture in place with the help of dental implants to help improve the bite and confidence that you have in your smile.
Once your new set of dentures are completed, we will then make sure they fit your mouth perfectly and adjust them if required, resulting in your new dentures being just the way you want them.
To help you look after your new dentures you should remove them at night to help give your gums a rest and to expose them to natural saliva, if you do wear them at night make sure to brush your tongue and gums twice daily with a soft toothbrush. When you are not wearing them it is best to brush them and leave in a glass of cold water. To help maintain your dentures it’s important to regularly visit your dentist so they can be professionally cleaned and to have the fit adjusted if they are becoming loose.
